This is a Finance Manager role working directly for a well-known and entrepreneurial business owner.

If you are someone who would enjoy running a small finance function, but also really loves commercial investments and business partnering then this could be the perfect role. This entrepreneur has investments in global and well-known companies, and also owns smaller London based businesses.

However this role is directly supporting them and their personal investments and business ventures.

That said, it is offering the chance to get great oversight to their portfolio of companies. We are looking for a fun, bright and ambitious finance professional who is looking for great exposure across a very group of accountants.

The Role:

  • Manage the day to day finance of the group, liaising with the outsourced advisory and accounting firms.
  • Working with the owner to assess investment opportunities for new business ventures as and when they come up.
  • Pro-actively managing the cashflow of the group.
  • Take the owner through regular management account updates and year end statements.
  • Ensuring compliance with all statutory and tax filings and deadlines.
  • Help with building analytical dashboard and KPI’s.
  • Maintenance of all banking facilities and being the main administrator for HSBC online banking platform.
  • Assisting with completion of, and reviewing, monthly payroll including helping to administer the employee benefits.
  • Assisting the owner with personal tax and financial planning as required
  • Key liaison with family office legal support

We are looking for a bright and engaging qualified accountant who has a really varied skill set. If you can tick the following boxes then we would love to speak to you.

  • Qualified accountant with several years’ experience overseeing small company finance.
  • Have an engaging and bright personality.
  • Being Curious and pro-active is a must.
  • Preferred experience of reviewing investment appraisals.
  • Understanding of NPV, IRR and cashflow forecasting.
  • Basic understanding of personal tax or at least the ability to communication with tax advisor

Being able to work in London at least once a week would be great.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary £60,000 – £100,000 + depending on experience.
  • Bonus, private health, statutory pension included.
  • Role can be 100% remote but some face to face meetings in London preferred occasionally (the current small team are securing an office in west London, so some working from the office in the future will be preferred, but limited)

If you would like to find out more about the role, please send a (preferably Word) copy of your latest CV to Reuben Huchard at reubenh@agreusgroup.com
