Tiger Private is seeking an experienced and professional Household Manager for a prestigious family in Mumbai. The successful candidate will supervise an established team of loyal staff and
oversee a large luxury private residence.
The ideal candidate will bring international experience from Europe, the UK, or the Middle East, with a proven track record managing substantial private households, estates, or luxury hospitality
operations. The ability to embed seamlessly into the Indian operating environment will be important.
This is a hands-on, service-first leadership role, where the Household Manager is expected to step in personally when required, always acting as an ambassador and advocate for the family.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage the daily operations of a private residence of 35,000 sq. ft.
- Lead, motivate, and oversee a team of 25+ staff across service, housekeeping, culinary, security, logistics, and maintenance.
- Implement and monitor SOPs, rosters, and service standards to align with Western private household and 5-star hospitality benchmarks.
- Personally ensure readiness of the residence ahead of principal and guest arrivals, with flawless attention to detail.
- Coordinate and manage vendors, suppliers, and contractors within the Indian operating environment.
- Support and train household staff, and upskilling service teams to Western standards where needed.
- Manage household budgets, accounts, procurement, and inventories in collaboration with the family office/representatives.
- Oversee special events, formal service, and hospitality requirements with discretion and excellence.
- Take a flexible, hands-on approach and step in personally where necessary to ensure seamless delivery.
WHO YOU ARE
- Proven experience running an entire private household or estate with 25–30 staff.
- Background in Western or Middle Eastern private households and/or 5-star luxury hospitality.
- Demonstrated success working in India, the GCC, or equivalent cross-cultural environments, with familiarity in managing Indian staff and vendors.
- Fluent English & Hindi or another local language is a strong advantage.
- Strong leadership skills with expertise in SOP creation, roster management, vendor coordination, service/event oversight, and household discretion.
ROLE DETAILS
- Location: Mumbai (private accommodation provided within walking distance).
- Schedule: 6 days per week, 10–12 hours per day (flexible based on household needs).
- Compensation: $80-100,000 annual salary (commensurate with experience), plus visa, insurance, local bank setup, and private accommodation.
- Leave: 6 weeks annual leave (mid-June to end of July), with additional time off during periods when the family is traveling.
