MULTI-PROPERTY MANAGER to PRIVATE HOUSEHOLD

We are looking to recruit a highly experienced Household / Property Manager to look after the homes of a private family, both of which are based in North London, as well as a couple overseas.
The main location for the role will be North London, split between the two houses with occasional visits to the offices in Central London in order to link in with the rest of the Family Office team who are based there.
This is a comprehensive estate managing role, being the main point of contact between the Principals and the property. It requires an overall management of the properties, service, inventory and insurance and household staff.
This is a day to day role with a hands-on approach towards maintenance and applicants must have previous private household and/or listed buildings experience, with a great contacts book so they know who to call when needed.
The houses are both listed (one is Arts & Crafts and one is Georgian) and full of complicated equipment and IT, so applicants must have knowledge of high-end properties or hotels. It is a reactive job and the Principal often asks for things last minute and expects a fast response, so needs someone who can work under pressure, is client focused and is happy to respond out of hours in the rare occasions this is necessary.
Please note that there are no internal expectations such as service etc – this is a pure Property Management role, and therefore candidates with Facilities and/or Estate Management knowledge would be preferred.
Hours: Standard office hours, Mon to Fri
Location: North London
Salary: Dependent upon experience

Special notes: Valid DBS preferable – offer will be dependent upon successful DBS application
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Overall responsibility for the maintenance, upkeep and routine servicing of the houses and ensuring continued operation of various systems including but not limited to, the following:
Whilst maintenance companies are employed to maintain and support the above, the Facilities Manager will be expected to have a working knowledge of the systems and be able to trouble shoot simple issues and carry out simple tasks such as resetting/rebooting the various systems, and performing routine tasks such as simple software updates etc.
Liaison with the family
As and when requested by the family to manage/coordinate projects such as refurbishment, construction, major landscaping etc. Management to include:
Health and Safety/Risk Management
Candidates must be/have:
Proven experience in a similar position
Presence and gravitas but someone who is fair and whom people like and respect
Will happily roll up their sleeves and be hands on
Must be proactive
Excellent negotiating skills
Be resourceful and have proficient knowledge of and be up to date with technologies and systems of the household.
Strong enough to challenge or direct suppliers and staff
