Our client, who has a residence in Kensington but owns several properties, is seeking an experienced House Manager to oversee and manage their day-to-day lives and properties.

 

The principals stay at their London residence many times throughout the year.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing several properties in London
  • Handling and managing property maintenance
  • Ensuring the household's schedule and calendar are adhered to ensuring principal is well-prepared for all commitments
  • Supervise and coordinate house staff activities, including full-time and contract, to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Oversee household budgets and expenses, maintaining financial records
  • Working closely with and helping the PA, when necessary, with appointments and admin
  • Scheduling home maintenance and repair work and supervising the project
  • Managing household bills
  • Running errands and performing necessary tasks
  • Personal shopping for the principal
  • Supervision of other household staff, such as housekeepers, private chefs and drivers
  • Plan and control household resources, such as workforce shift, household inventory
  • Function as principal's onsite primary point of contact
  • Assistance with international travel arrangements, including accommodation recommendations whilst considering the principal’s preferences
  • Ensuring the Family’s guests are well looked after to the high standard expected

 

Candidate Required Skills

  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in a similar role for a UHNW family
  • Proven experience as a House Manager
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage unconventional communication channels
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the ever-changing demands of principal’s schedule and preferences
  • Proficiency in property maintenance 
  • Ability to manage and motivate house staff
  • Discretion and the ability to always maintain confidentiality

 

Location: Kensington

Working Week: 40 hours, flexibility to work longer hours when principals are in residence

Salary: £60,000 per annum

Start: ASAP
