Location - NOTTING HILL, LONDON & INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL
Our client is seeking a private chef, already based in London, to start immediately.
The Chef will have already worked in a similar role, and used to travelling with their employers to other properties in Paris, Antibes, NY and The Hamptons, so they know the best and freshest markets and vendors and can hit the ground running.
They will mostly host events in London and The Hamptons - lunches and dinners of up to 15 - 20 people. In Paris and Antibes, it will be simpler as it will be mainly just the family, and eating out.
In London the kitchen is VERY open plan and is in the middle of the Family Room - beautiful, but literally in the heart of the house! The family eats organic, very health clean food. Mostly its simple family meals though they need someone who can prepare first class meals for dinner event they may host. They like a holistic approach to their cooking and food.
The Chef will be solely in charge of the kitchen, shopping, kitchen cleaning and hygiene. The family is very 'hands-off' in the kitchen, so they let the chef surprise them according to fresh market produce and their inspiration, so long as it is healthy and nothing heavy. The Principle does better on lactose/gluten free diet.!
The chef must have experience cooking for children, loves children, and who is a real team player. They have 3 nannies, and their lead nanny is vegetarian. Getting the baby food right is fundamental. They have plenty of baby food cookbooks, and the chef can work with the nannies re the babies meals.
It will be a 5 day week cooking for family, guests and staff and this could include weekends, when travelling etc.
