LIVE-IN CHEF / HOUSE MANAGER

Live-in Chef / House Manager required for a private family of 5 residing in Central London.
Our client is looking for someone who has had previous experience in a similar role. We are looking for a Chef to prepare primarily evening meals as the family are mostly out during the day. This is not a standard chef’s position and you would also be involved in other aspects of running the household.
You must be immaculately presented and have an eye for detail relating to the overall presentation of the property.
Your main duties/responsibilities include, but would not be limited to:
Preparation and service of family meals
Purchasing supplies for the kitchen and household
Driving the Principal and the children when required
Making regular maintenance checks, reporting problems immediately
Dealing with outside contractors, booking services etc
Cleaning/filling with petrol and booking MOTs etc. for the family cars
Managing a team of 3 full-time housekeepers - hours/salaries
Organising material/extra staff for dinner parties
Having good weekly contact with the Principal's PA
Travelling to other properties in Europe (when required)
Organising flowers and table decorations
Overseeing the gardeners (weekly visits)
Keeping the kitchen immaculate at all times
Occasionally walking a very well behaved small dog
This is a role previously filled for over 10 years. Preferably you will have background experience in both Private House cooking and serving. The family are semi-informal on a day-to-day basis but you must be able to be more formal when they entertain guests.
We are looking for someone with a passion for the private house service environment, willing to tackle all situations, have an easy going personality with a relaxed sense of humour.
Excellent accommodation provided, in the form of a separate/private one bedroom flat with modern bathroom and kitchen, fully furnished with all bills paid.
Salary is dependent on experience.
The family are relocating next summer so a 9-12 month contract would be offered.
