LIVE-IN TRAVELLING BUTLER / PA

Our client is seeking a Live-in Travelling Butler / Personal Assistant for their property in Central London.

 

The ideal candidate will need excellent personnel management skills and have worked within a household consisting of an elderly couple or individual for a period of five years or more.

 

The position will involve travelling between various European locations and assisting the Principal with his day-to-day needs.

 

Required skills:

  • Excellent communication, observation and organisational skills

  • IT skills including report writing

  • Office management skills

  • Experience of working with the elderly over a long period of time

  • Sympathetic to the changing needs of an elderly individual, and an ability and willingness to adapt to demands as required

  • Medical training / nursing qualification a plus

  • Driving licence (manual)

  • Languages: English – to mother tongue standard preferred.Swedish and/or Spanish - not required but would be beneficial

 

Main duties:

  • Responsible for the wellness of the Principal – assisting with personal care and medication

  • Oversee cooking – grocery shopping and home cooked nutritious meals

  • Ensure the private residences are kept in a pristine condition

  • Liaising with the various Local Property Managers (who report to Global Head of Property) of the private properties

  • Maintaining a Household Manual & Guidelines including contact information for suppliers for the properties

  • Assisting with Housekeeping – with laundry, cleaning and linen

  • Responsible for liaising with Local Property Managers for any household maintenance

  • Maintaining the household budgets and inventory list, and ensuring necessary supplies kept in stock

  • Preparing staff rota (Butler/external staff)

  • Checking/approval of staff’s timesheets and expense reporting to Family Office

  • To accompany the Principal, as required, to various events and appointments

  • Hiring and overseeing private staff with the approval of the Principal and his daughter

  • Ensuring that all homes are clean and ready for the arrival of the Principal, as well as properly closed upon departure

  • Assisting with the care of the Principal’s dog

  • Ensuring that all cars are properly maintained

  • Assisting to organise travel and transportation for Principal and private staff

  • Ensuring medication is up-to-date and that there is sufficient medication

  • Working hours are a minimum 40 hours a week / 5 days a week, reasonable overtime expected.This may include shifts, weekends and extra cover whilst other staff are on leave or absent.

 

A private room will be provided, adjacent or within the property where the Principal is residing.  Meals included during working hours.  The staff kitchen can be used to prepare meals when not on duty.

 

A high-end salary is on offer depending on the experience.
