One of our Family Office clients are hiring for a Tax Manager in New York to support the Founder and Partners of a growing Hedge Fund (the core source of wealth).

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing individual tax, estate, charitable, family office, and structuring issues. A Tax background with at least one year Family Office experience is essential.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Investment management and asset allocation: Basic financial planning and asset allocation
  • Tax and legal advisory
  • Reporting, record keeping and documentation
  • Philanthropic management
  • Compliance and regulatory assistance: full-time legal and accountancy help
  • Risk management and insurance services
  • Life management and budgeting
  • Business advisory: Often the general counsel or the finance director of the family business is involved in the setup of the family office
  • Estate and wealth transfer
  • Administrative services
  • Succession planning: Clarifying level of interest of next generation members with regard to the business and family office

The Family Office is a new creation built out of the success of the Hedge Fund. This is an excellent opportunity to grow the Family Office and its responsibilities to the Principal.
