My client is a highly successfully global private bank, headquartered in Zurich with a global footprint across the leading international finance centres.


The bank is recognised as having a significant market share of the UHNW Family sector and provides and full range of services from private banking, portfolio and investment management through to trust and fiduciary and the provision of philanthropy services.


In order to provide a full and comprehensive service offering to multi-jurisdictional family clients, the bank is now establishing a specialist family governance division, operating from Zurich advising families from primarily Europe, Latam and the Middle East.


Positioned between the private banking and wealth planning teams, the bank is seeking to recruit a specialist private client professional with proven expertise advising ultra-high net worth families. 


Working in conjunction with the relationship managers and wealth planners, the family governance unit will promote the service consisting of both long term and short term solutions for families and succession within all personal and commercial interests.


The family governance team will devise, advice and guide the family principal, their advisors and other generations of the family on the benefit of governance practice for the family and respective businesses.


The successful candidate will have a track record in the provision of family governance for multi-jurisdictional ultra high net worth families.  Ideally a qualified lawyer from either a civil or common law jurisdiction the successful candidate will have proven ability developing long term relationships with UHNW clients as well as managing complex relationships with key stakeholders in a private banking environment.  Strong working knowledge of complementary wealth and tax planning solutions will be vital.


This will be a senior appointment as the bank seeks to establish this business offering in Zurich with a view to building a team of dedicated family governance professionals across Switzerland.
