A multi Billiom $ Forbes 500 family are in the process of establishing a new Family Office in Manhattan, NY.

 

A recent liquidity event has required the Family to create a formal structure to help manage the assets better. The Family Office is at its early stages of inception. They have conducted a full review using leading Management Consultants and us to create a blueprint and a plan. A large amount of organisation and structuring is required in order to successfully establish the Family Office.

 

The role of the COO will be to work alongside CEO/Deputy CEO, CIO and CFO in setting up the Family Office in New York. You will be fully responsible for all the operational aspects of the Family Office. The operational tasks will be very wide and varied.

 

Successful candidates will have experience working as a COO/Head of Operations for a Single Family Office with significant AUM with sophisticated set up investing across a wide range of Asset Classes (with in-house Asset Management Capabilities). Experience of setting up a Family Office would be desirable.

 

Be an experienced Chief Operating Officer ensuring operational efficiency across the group and providing sector expertise.

 

The candidate must have extensive experience in leading large scale operations and good project management skills.

 

The ability to deal with all HR related matters including recruitment at all senior levels would be useful.

 

The successful candidate must possess good knowledge of IT infrastructure.

 

The successful candidate must have experience overseeing other departments including Accounting, Legal and the Day-to-Day Office Management including liaising with suppliers and handling all maintenance contracts.

 

The successful candidates will have experience in streamlining operations and top level reporting capabilities.

 

Lastly, exceptional stakeholder management skills are expected in order to ensure the smooth running of the FO. This role will report in to the CEO and the principal of the family.
