The team

The Marketing and Business Development department are collectively responsible for building brand equity and supporting the growth of the firm. Marketing leads activity that builds reputation and recognition in the market whilst business development is focused on the retention and growth of clients alongside targeting new clients.

Client insight, data and research is applied and deployed across the team to inform decision making and activities in line with business plans at sector at departmental level.

 

Close working of all members of the team helps to ensure that the Marketing & Business Development department has a collective focus on the client agenda alongside the firm’s vision to be the UK’s leading Infrastructure firm.

 

The opportunity

This role will play an active part in working across Sectors and Departments BD as well as close working with the Events & Client Experience Manager, in doing so helping to build strong connections between the activities associated with each part of the team.

 

Identifying and pursuing cross selling or opportunities to coordinate across the firm, contribute to account management activities ranging from relationship building activities to account based marketing activity will focus this role across the marketing and BD mix.

 

This role provides a great opportunity to work across the firm in areas of strategic priority and growth, build relationships and identify opportunities to generate work - whilst being part of a supportive and ambitious Business Development team.

 

Priorities

  1. Play an active role in supporting BD activity for departments and sectors and regional offices covering a broad range of activities including relationship building, account management, client feedback and experience, campaigns
  2. Reporting on, measuring ROI across client relationships, and supporting the set-up and implementation of key account management processes
  3. Identifying opportunities for increased coordination between (London and) our regional offices and the client portfolio across them

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the team with marketing and BD activities that support business plans
  • Creating reports and collating data to help measure and track the success of all activity
  • Supporting the team on website enquiries and tracking opportunities
  • Assist with informal pitches preparation and materials
  • Assist with key account management activities
  • Reporting to the Events & Client Experience Manager with particular focus on Client Experience priorities
  • Working closely with BD Managers on all BD activity
  • Contribute the creation and delivery of targeted communications.(inc social media) across the year including follow up with clients targets and referrers
  • Contribute to best practice across the team including effective use of the firms CRM database.
  • Identify ways to improve process and reporting to increase efficiency, ensure ROI and enhance relationships

 

Who we are looking for

Attributes required include:

  • Previous experience of working in a business development/marketing function, in a professional services environment would be advantageous.
  • Energy, drive and tenacity.
  • A cross selling mind-set
  • Confident and comfortable in networking environments
  • Excellent attention to detail, good organisation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
