ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

A London based Single Family Office for a UHNW individual working in a small close-knit team is looking to hire an Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper to join their established entity in London.
Role and Responsibilities
- Corporate work
- Bookkeeping
- Managing accounts payable, setting up payments for approval, monitoring balances.
- Managing accounts receivable, raising invoices through accounting software on a timely basis and monitoring receipt.
- Reconciliation of bank accounts and credit cards
- Supporting preparation and filing of VAT returns
- Maintaining electronic filing of records.
- Assisting with year end reporting and preparation of annual statutory accounts
- Non corporate record keeping
- Managing personal accounts payable
- Setting up payments for approval, monitoring and reconciliation of bank accounts.
- Bookkeeping (not currently being prepared for personal account but likely to do so in near future)
- Investment real estate bookkeeping and tax schedule preparation.
- Ad hoc support with financial and administrative tasks as required. E.g. completion of bank account documents or provision of AML/KYC documents to third parties.
- Document management
- Retention & filing of investment documentation including accessing various online information portals to download documentation.
- Retention and filing of property ownership documentation.
- Charitable Foundation
- Managing accounts payable, setting up payments for approval, monitoring balances.
- Reconciliation of bank accounts.
- Support on general administration. (TBC)
- Tax
- Supporting the Tax & Reporting Manager with gathering information for personal tax returns.
Preferred Skills
- Bookkeeping software experience (Sage preferable but could be any accounting package)
- Experience of gathering information required for personal tax compliance a plus.
- Basic to moderate Microsoft Excel skills

- Detail orientated
- Self-motivated and willing to show initiative
- Discretion and a professional attitude at work are a must
- Good communication skills as they will correspond with suppliers and external parties
- Must be a team player who is able to fit into a small friendly team (c.6 people)
